The modes of transportation users choose and how far they have to travel depend on a building’s location. Besides the way a building is constructed and operated, the three pillars of sustainable construction include enabling people to get around regardless of the location of the building. A key component of Zug Estates’ strategy in these terms is to concentrate on the Zug region: an area with high value creation, a qualified workforce, and outstanding communications. The Suurstoffi and Zug City Center sites are both very easily accessible by public transit or car. For businesses and educational establishments such as the new IT department at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, this accessibility is one of the key advantages of the location.
